HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – Hamilton Township Mayor John Kurtz joined with officials from Planet Fitness to commemorate the opening of its newest facility, located adjacent to Bob’s Furniture behind the Hamilton Mall, on Wednesday, July 12. Before cutting the celebratory ribbon, Kurtz said that the franchise is a welcome addition to the township’s business community.
Chief Operating Officer William Cassotis traveled from his home in Dover, New Hampshire for the opening. “We invested more than $1 million in equipment to provide the finest amenities for our members,” he said.
Members can work out on scores of treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers and other equipment while watching one of the twenty televisions that line the front of the room.
The basic membership cost is $10 per month. Members also have the option to enroll in a PF Black Card program for $19.99 a month that includes hydromassage, tanning equipment, massage chairs and numerous other amenities.
While the club officially opened on June 16, company officials decided to wait a month to hold the grand opening event. On hand for the celebration was Danni Allen, a Planet Fitness Brand Ambassador who was the Season 14 winner of NBC-TV’s Biggest Loser show. “I totally endorse the 'judgement free philosophy' that the business espouses,” she said.
Club members who attended the event were treated with a choice of giveaway items, a prize drawing and unlimited pizza.
