Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is expected to open early next year at Hamilton Commons in the site formerly occupied by Sports Authority.

Hobby Lobby, a nationwide arts and crafts chain, will hold a job fair next week in Egg Harbor Township.

The job fair is scheduled for 9 a.m-5 p.m. Dec. 4 through 8 at Homewood Suites, 3008 English Creek Ave., according to a Facebook post for Hobby Lobby jobs.

During the first quarter of next year, Hobby Lobby is expected to open in the Hamilton Commons shopping center on the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township in the space previously occupied by The Sports Authority.

Hobby Lobby is looking for applicants to work in the art, crafts, custom framing, fabric, floral and hobby departments.

The chain has 10 stores in the state, including one in Millville, and more than 750 stores across the country.

The new store is expected to bring 35 to 50 jobs to the community. Starting pay will be $15.70 per hour for full-time employees and $10.45 per hour for part-time associates, said Bob Miller, the company's communications coordinator previously.
