Icy and slick road conditions caused multiple auto accidents between 7 and 8 a.m. Wednesday in Hamilton Township, township police Detective Larry Fernan said.
There could have been as many as eight accidents during that hour, but they were all minor, with no one being transported to a hospital, Fernan said.
The most serious-looking accident took place at 6:58 a.m. at Bears Head Road, also called county Route 522. A car slid off the road and flipped over, Fernan said.
The only person in the car was the driver, who was not taken to the hospital, Fernan said.
Hamilton Township police, rescue and EMS units were on the scene along, with the Mays Landing Fire Department, Fernan said.
