LINWOOD — The Exchange on New Road in Linwood will host a holiday mart beginning Sunday, Nov. 26, and running every Saturday and Sunday up to Dec. 23, calling it Gift for Exchanging.
Lorey Bird, of Ocean City, a partner in The Exchange, said she discussed the idea of having vendors set up in the entrance and foyer of the building and all of the Linwood Exchange team — Banzo, the District Bar, Tony’s Baltimore Grill, Little Saigon, Jar’D Coffee Shop and Earnest & Sons — agreed it was something positive going into the holidays.
“We designed this place as a community, and this gives a chance to share that feeling of community and give local vendors a place to sell. It's small businesses helping small businesses,” said Bird.
The vendors will be there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each of the days. The Exchange's permanent eateries, along with the District Bar, will offer special gifts that reflect their kitchen as well as gift cards at each of their spots.
Participating vendors include the Felted Purse, Tawes Creek Soap Co., Rae’s Headband Co., Bianca del Mare, Pottery Therapy and LuLaRoe clothing.
“We hope the community will come and enjoy some time and eating, drinking and shopping,” said Bird.
