CAPE MAY COUNTY - The Cape May County Library has extended the deadline for the “Through Your Eyes Teen Photography Contest” for teens 12-18 years old. The deadline to submit photographs has been extended to Friday, July 30 and entries mailed must be received by Tuesday, Aug. 3. Contest entry forms are available at any of the Cape May County Libraries or online at cmclibrary.org.
The 2010 Cape May County Library “Through Your Eyes Teen Photography Contest” is sponsored by Sturdy Savings Bank. Cash prizes will be awarded for one grand prize picture along with a first, second and third place prizes in three categories: nature, people and digital photography art. Digital Photography Art must include original photos taken by the contestant that are digitally manipulated or edited. Photos can be manipulated using any digital means available. Contestants can submit a maximum of two photos per category. Honorable mention certificates will also be awarded. Only physical copies of 8-by-10 black and white or color photos will be accepted. E-mail entries will not be accepted. Entries can be submitted to any branch of the Cape May County Library or by mail to: Cape May County Library Teen Photography Contest, c/o Amanda Heidema, 4 Moore Road, DN 2030, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Winners will be announced the beginning of August and will be notified by mail or phone. An award ceremony will be held on Friday, Aug. 20 for winners.
