During the week of July 11-17 the Galloway Township Police Department responded to a total of 624 calls for service. Officers arrested 29 adults and two juveniles, and issued 72 traffic summonses including one charge of driving while intoxicated. Officers responded to 18 motor vehicle accidents, eight domestic complaints, 18 medical assists and 98 fire calls. Jason Sierchio, 24, of Waretown was arrested July 11 by Ptl. Mark D’Esposito and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, hypodermic needles and paraphernalia. Richard V. Jones, 44, of Galloway Township was arrested July 13 by Ptl. Scott Winneberger and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Julio R. Lopez, 18, of Galloway Township was arrested July 13 by Ptl. Jason Kiamos and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia. Tuan Tran, 24, of Galloway Township was arrested July 14 by Ptl. Andrew Silipino and charged with driving while intoxicated on Jimmie Leeds Road. Adrian R. Budd, 25, of Hammonton was arrested July 14 by Ptl. Dan Weigle and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia. Ronald Rogers, 63, of Galloway Township was arrested July 15 by Ptl. Matthew Worth and charged with driving while intoxicated on Pomona Road. Austin Wood, 21, of Galloway Township was arrested July 15 by Ptl. Kevin Welsh and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia. Phillip J. Meneely, 24, of Galloway Township was arrested July 16 by Ptl. Hiram Melendez on a Pennsylvania fugitive warrant. Sheriff’s Report George J. Kermitas, 47, of Galloway Township was arrested July 19 by Detectives Jonathan Nieves and Jeffery Newman on nonsupport. David B. Schenkel, 40, of Galloway Township was arrested July 21 by Detectives Philip Gaffney and Michael Gilmore on a narcotics bench warrant and a municipal warrant issued by Galloway Township.
