SOMERS POINT – Students had some help from a Franklin Institute traveling show to get them thinking about science in fun and different ways as they begin to explore project ideas for the Jordan Road School's annual STEM Fair and Expo in February.

Franklin Institute presenter Sarah Rowley mixed fun and science to get students in fourth through eighth grade thinking about plans for projects that will incorporate science, technology, engineering and math concepts.

The demonstration invited students to volunteer on stage, where Rowley demonstrated the complexities of hot and cold using dry ice, water, a tea kettle and a thermometer.

The STEM Fair and Expo will be held Feb. 15 in the Jordan Road School.
