CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Atlantic City Electric recently donated 350 fire safety alarms to Cape May County as part of its “emergency services partnership program,” according to a company statement.

This year, the electric company has donated 2,800 smoke alarms to fire marshals in the eight counties the company serves, and an overall 31,820 smoke alarms since 2000 to fire safety officials in southern New Jersey.

“We are extremely proud to once again partner with our county fire marshals to donate smoke alarms to help keep residents safe,” said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president.

Lowe's Home Improvement supplied the smoke alarms at a discount to help support the effort, electric company officials said.
