“We are excited to include this program to kick off our ‘Garden & Grow’ 2018 workshop series,” said Jenny S. Carleo, county agent for the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
“The goal of this new series is to teach locals how to improve or expand their home gardens in new ways,” Carleo said.
Other topics to be presented this year include growing vegetables, organic lawn care, and the principles of organic growing.

"Raising Chickens in Your Backyard" runs 5:30-8 p.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House.
The cost is $20 and includes dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6 p.m. No experience is necessary.
