Galloway Township Police Blotter - Week of Sept. 17, 2009

Police Blotter news is supplied by the Galloway Township Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. All persons named are assumed innocent until proven guilty.

During the week of Aug. 30 through Sept. 5, the Galloway Township Police Department responded to 661 calls for service. Officers arrested 42 adults and six juveniles, and issued 109 traffic summonses including four charges of driving while intoxicated. Officers responded to six domestic complaints, 88 medical assists and 12 fire calls.

Richard W. Giaccio, 29, of West Creek in Eagleswood Township, Ocean County was arrested Sept. 1 by Ptl. Kerry Baerman and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles following a car stop on Route 30.

Hans F. Korte, III, 37, of Ventnor was arrested Sept. 3 by Cpl. Ed Fryling and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled dangerous substance following the report of an erratic driver on Route 30.

Michael J. Priest, 32, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 4 by Ptl. William Kline and charged with hindering apprehension following an incident in a Route 30 motel parking lot.

Victor Chang, 24, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 5 by Ptl. Paul Smith and charged with driving while intoxicated following a two-car accident on Jimmie Leeds Road.

Robert H. Gwin II, 18, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 6 by Ptl. Jason Kiamos and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance following a car stop on St. Joseph Avenue.

Thomas Miller Jr., 19, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 8 by Ptl. Jason Salter and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia following a car stop on 6th Avenue.

Brian A. Rambough, 52, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 8 by Ptl. Scott Winneberger and charged with hindering apprehension following a car stop on Yam Avenue.

Preston Boykin, 40, of Pleasantville was arrested Sept. 10 by Ptl. Jason Kiamos and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia following a pedestrian stop on Oakbourne Avenue.

Juvenile Report

A 16-year-old Galloway Township boy was arrested Sept. 3 by Ptl. John Mooney and charged with possession of imitation firearms following an incident on Colonial Court.

A 17-year-old Galloway Township boy was arrested Sept. 8 by Ptl. Jason Salter and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia following a car stop on 6th Avenue.

Sheriff’s Report

Philip D. Surace, 22, of Galloway Township was arrested Sept. 4 by Sheriff’s Officers Charles Mandel and Douglas Parker on a municipal warrant issued by Middle Township.
