Terror in the Junkyard

The Scullville Volunteer Fire Company will present Terror in the Junkyard at Fleming’s Junkyard, 353 Zion Road on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Friday, Oct. 30. Hayride tickets are $8, maze tickets are $4 and combo tickets are $10. The hayride and maze will be open 7–11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7–10 p.m. Sundays. Diving the Titanic

Tom Maddox of East Coast Diving Supply of Northfield, a diver at the site of the Titanic shipwreck, will share his experience 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Egg Harbor Township Community Center. The presentation, which includes a video, personal presentation and question-and-answer session, is the latest in a series of lectures presented by the Greate Egg Harbour Township Historical Society. Project Graduation raffle tickets

Project Graduation raffle tickets are now on sale for the Class of 2010. Each ticket is $100 and can be bought by individuals or in a group. Parents of seniors are encouraged to help. Bowl-A-Thon Oct. 24

The Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union’s Bowl-A-Thon to benefit the Atlantic City Rescue Mission will take place on Make a Difference Day 2–4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at King Pin Recreation, 6622 Black Horse Pike. Bowlers are asked to contribute at least $20 in pledges. The credit union will pick up bowling costs. There will be prizes for top pledge collectors, door prizes, refreshments and more. New York City trip

The Egg Harbor Township Recreation Department will sponsor a bus trip to New York City Saturday, Oct. 24. The bus leaves the Municipal Building, 3515 Bargaintown Road, at 9 a.m. and will leave the city at 8 p.m. for the return trip. Cost is $30 per person. Call (609) 272-8120.



Golf Corporation meeting

There will be a meeting of the Egg Harbor Township Golf Corporation 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 in the Municipal Building, 3515 Bargaintown Road. Formal action may be taken.



Township Committee meeting

Egg Harbor Township Committee will meet 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the Municipal Building, 3515 Bargaintown Road. Formal action may be taken.



VFW pavilion dedication

The Cardiff VFW Post 8098, 3029 Spruce Ave., will have a dedication for its new donation-funded pavilion at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. A party will follow. For more information call (609) 645-1395.



Get Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs fishing trip

The Egg Harbor Township Recreation Department and the Municipal Alliance will hold another “Get Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs” fishing trip on Saturday, Nov. 7 aboard the Starfish out of Sea Isle City. The program is open to Egg Harbor Township residents. Peddler’s Village Christmas Festival trip

The Egg Harbor Township Recreation Department will sponsor a bus trip to the Peddler's Village Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 5. The motorcoach will leave the Egg Harbor Township Municipal Building on Bargaintown Road at 8 a.m. and leave Peddler's Village at 6 p.m. for the return trip. The cost is $30 per person. Kiwanis Club

The Egg Harbor Township Kiwanis Club is looking for new members. The group meets at East Bay Crab and Grille Restaurant, 6701 Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Call (609) 653-8309.



Democratic Club meeting

Lynn Wood, a member of the Greate Egg Harbour Historical Society, is working on a video documentary for the township’s 300th anniversary next year. A Grand Event

The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools, Inc. will host “A Grand Event” Dinner Dance and Silent Auction 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. Proceeds will be used to purchase a concert grand piano for the Egg Harbor Township High School’s performing arts center/auditorium. Tickets are $75.
