Brian Beals seeks return to City Council

EGG HARBOR CITY – Republican challenger Brian Beals served on the governing body as a Democrat from 2005 to 2008. He changed his party affiliation to Republican in 2009.

Beals has been a resident of Egg Harbor for seven years, and was involved with the Public Safety, Highway, and Parks and Playground committees, either as chairman or a regular member.

Along with Joe Manzoni and Mel Reid, Republican Beals conducted an unsuccessful write-in bid for City Council in last year’s general election.

He is a graduate of Middletown North High School, Monmouth County.

Beals and his family play a large role in organizing the city’s annual Christmas parade and he also served on committees that organize the city’s Hometown Celebration and the Egg Harbor City Education Foundation’s Octoberfest.

Beals is employed with New Jersey Transit. He and his wife, Sharon, have two children.
