Leaf collection

Linwood leaf collection will start on or about Monday, Nov. 9 at the north end of the city and work south. Two machines will be used and the entire city is expected to be completed by Thursday, Dec. 31 depending on weather and how quickly leaves fall. Citizens are asked not to pile leaves on top of storm grates and keep leaves at least 25 feet from grates to prevent street flooding. Avoid parking cars on a leaf pile, which could start a fire, and do not drive through leaf pile of leaves, as children sometimes bury themselves in leaves while playing. Do not put trash or tree branches in piles, as they will clog the vacuum. If possible, remove vehicles from the street prior to collection time.
