Lower Bank Bridge to close Nov. 5-6

EGG HARBOR CITY – Lower Bank Bridge over the Mullica River, which connects Egg Harbor City to Lower Bank in Washington Township, Burlington County, is scheduled to be closed to motor vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians Thursday and Friday, Nov. 5-6 to allow installation of a new main drive motor.

The drawbridge will remain in the open position to allow boat traffic on the Mullica River to pass through while the motor is replaced.

River Road (County Route 652) goes over this drawbridge and will be closed between Batsto-Bridgeport Road (County Route 542) and Green Bank-Batsto Road (County Route 563). Motorists are advised to use Batsto-Bridgeport Road (County Route 542) west to Green Bank-Batsto Road (County Route 563) south and access the Green Bank Bridge.
