Assumption students support breast cancer fight

Student Council members at Assumption Regional Catholic School, located on Pitney Road in Galloway Township, sponsored a raffle to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ten lucky students won a special luncheon with Principal Mary Ellen Schurtz. The students raised more than $250, which they chose to donate to Gilda's Club South Jersey at Wawa Center. On Monday, Nov. 2, Gilda’s Club Development Director Susan Werner visited with Student Council members to explain the organization's programs and benefits to cancer patients and their families.
