GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – A man held up the CVS pharmacy on South Pitney Road Pitney Road shortly after 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, escaping with medicine.

A white male in his 30s entered the store and demanded Oxycontin and Xanax, according to the Galloway Township Police Department. When the pharmacist advised the man that he would need a prescription, the suspect told the pharmacist that he had a gun.

No weapon was actually seen.

He was given an unknown amount of medication and left the store. Police believe the suspect had a vehicle, however none was seen.

No one was hurt and the store remained open.

The suspect is described as 6-feet tall, weighing between 200 and 225 pounds. He was wearing a black-hooded jacket, a reddish-orange colored shirt, jeans and white sneakers.

Investigating officers are Officer Justin Butler and Detective Richard Huenke.

Anyone with information should call Huenke at (609) 652-3705, ext. 329.
