‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’

The Oakcrest High School Drama Club will present “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, and Friday, Nov. 20 in the auditorium. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Vendors wanted for Winterfest

Career Opportunity Development Inc. in Egg Harbor City is seeking vendors for its Winterfest Saturday, Dec. 5. The cost is $15 for one table or $20 for two. Call (609) 965-6871 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Red Carpet Wine and Cheese event

The Education Foundation for the Performing Arts at Charter Tech High School is hosting a Red Carpet Wine and Cheese Extravaganza 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City. Canned food drive

The George L. Hess Educational Complex will be collecting nonperishable food in December for needy people in Atlantic County. Donations can be dropped off until Wednesday, Dec.16 in the boxes in the main lobby area of the school at 700 Babcock Road in Mays Landing.

Project Child Find

The Hamilton Township Public School District is conducting its annual Project Child Find which includes a free preschool handicapped program for toddlers ages 3 to 5. Project Child Find provides testing of toddlers who may have developmental delays, and, if so indicated, a specialized individual educational program is set up to meet their needs. Those concerned that their child may be developing differently or having problems learning may contact the child study team of the Hamilton Township Public Schools at (609) 476-6111. Offices are at the George L. Hess Educational Complex, 700 Babcock Road in Mays Landing.

Historical Society membership drive

The Egg Harbor City Historical Society is conducting a membership drive. The public is invited to join in learning about the city and the area’s colorful history. Residency is not required. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. the last Monday of each month at the Roundhouse Museum, 533 London Ave. All new members will receive a copy of the Egg Harbor City Sesquicentennial Book. Domestic Violence Response Team volunteers sought

The Hamilton Township Police Department is recruiting volunteers to work on its Domestic Violence Response Team. Members will work with the police to provide support, information and referrals to victims of domestic violence. Applicants must be at least 18, have access to transportation, be willing to submit to a background check and attend 60 hours of mandatory training. Rotary Club meets Tuesdays
