Nov, 19-2009 11:39 am

OCEAN CITY – The annual “Christmas Spectacular,” the largest gift and decorating show in the region, will be presented on the Music Pier this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21-22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This dazzling event offers a totally new cast of crafters, artists, photographers and gourmet food specialists.
You will discover gingerbread houses two feet tall, gift baskets, decorations and delicacies that turn the Music Pier into a winter wonderland sparkling with magnificent jewelry creations, fashions, festive tree ornaments, decorations, angels, toys, dolls, trains, fine art and dazzling themed Christmas trees. This is the only holiday event in the region that guarantees every item to be an American creation, handcrafted by the exhibitor. Nothing has been imported from abroad.
Last Sunday enjoyed the largest attendance since JoAnne Schaut founded the Jersey Shore Artisans Guild in 2002.  This three-foot tall Victorian Santa by Danielle Susik of Sewell, NJ was one of the first creations to cross the Boardwalk on its way home  at the height of Saturday’s violent northeast storm.
All profits from last week’s ‘Holiday Festival’ and the totally new ‘Christmas Spectacular’ will be donated to the Ocean City Food Cupboard and Clothing Closet,  Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, Salvation Army and American Red Cross. The charitable admission donation is $3 and children under 12 are free. Complimentary parking is offered on 8th Street and Moorlyn Terrace just off the Boardwalk.
