Linwood In Your Town – Edition of Nov. 25, 2009
Nov, 23-2009 2:35 pm
Leaf collection
Linwood leaf collection is progressing south from the north end of the city. Two machines are being used, and the entire city is expected to be completed by Thursday, Dec. 31 depending on weather and how quickly leaves fall. Citizens are asked not to pile leaves on top of storm grates and keep leaves at least 25 feet from grates to prevent street flooding. Avoid parking cars on a leaf pile, which could start a fire, and do not drive through leaf piles, as children sometimes bury themselves in them while playing. Do not put trash or tree branches in piles, as they will clog the vacuum. If possible, remove vehicles from the street prior to collection time.
