’Gami goes Parisian

Nov, 24-2009 10:35 am

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Absegami High School advanced placement French students celebrated National French Week Nov. 4–10 with a number of events.

Organized by the American Association of Teachers of French, it was an annual celebration of the French language and culture. French teachers Sally Giannandrea, Laura Thomas and Greg Ferree coordinated events with the students.

The French Club posted fun French facts around the school on subjects relating to the departments where they were posted – such as Louis Pasteur in a science hallway. The French Honor Society selected current French music videos that were shown on Gami TV each morning with introductions in French and English. French Honor Society members also decorated a hallway with a French street scene, complete with café, shops and trees.

Nov. 4 was Portez le bleu, blanc et rouge (Dress in blue, white and red) day for all French students.
