Northfield Police Blotter, Edition of Dec. 2, 2009

Police blotter information is supplied by local and other law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Teresa Ballena, 27, of Northfield was arrested Nov. 24 by Sgt. Pollak and charged with contempt of court.

Danielle Kearney, 28, of Northfield was arrested Nov. 27 by Ptl. Gieger and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams and possession of paraphernalia.

Taylor Keppler, 23, of Mays Landing was arrested Nov. 28 by Sgt. Newman and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Hector Hinman, 27, of Linwood was arrested Nov. 28 by Sgt. Pollak and charged with contempt of court.

Nadette Irizarry Estrada, 46, of Northfield was arrested Nov. 28 by Sgt. Dettinger and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

Secure homes, vehicles

The Northfield Police Department is urging residents to secure their home and vehicles in the holiday season. Historically there is an upswing in crimes during the holidays, when people are often away from their homes. Residents are urged not to store valuables in vehicles. If valuables must be stored in a vehicle they should be placed out of sight or locked in the trunk. Report any suspicious activity to the police.
