  1) PDF File Guidelines: Acrobat PDF Compatible 6.0 Version or higher  (We prefer PDF files). 
   
  • No OPI comments allowed on PDF (Images may drop out with OPI comments)
  • All fonts and images must be embedded. No Multiple Master (MM) fonts of any kind.
  • All images must be 200 DPI Color images should be in CMYK format. No RGB. No Index Color.
  • No ICC Profiles
  • Supply your Pantone PMS spot color numbers.
  • PDFs must be single page documents (No separated plates, please)
  • Do NOT use PDFWriter
  • Open and preview the ad for font, image, setup and color accuracy. Use of preflighting software such as Enfocus Pitstop is highly recommended.
  2) Applications we accept:
   

  • PageMaker 7.0 PC and 6.5 Mac

  • Adobe InDesign: CS2 (PC Only)

  • Quark XPress: Version 4.1 ( Mac and PC)

  • Illustrator: Version CS2, 10.0 PC - 5.5 Mac

  • Acrobat: Highest Version PC and Mac

  • Photoshop: Highest Version PC and Mac 5.5
  3) We accept EPS, TIFF, GIFS, JPEG but prefer PDF format.
     (GIF and JPEG are poor formats for printing)

  4) Media we accept for digital file transfers:
   
  • CD (PC and Mac)
  • Zip Disk (100MB PC-MAC) (250MB - PC)
  • 3.5 diskette (PC)
  • Thumb Drives (USB)
  5) Fonts
    All font files must be included with your digital files. (We do not guarantee font matching)
     
  6) Transmission Options:
    E-mail your ad file as a attachment to addesign@catamaranmedia.com or use our Public FTP if file is over 10 megs
     
  7) Color:
    Please refer to the Pantone PMS spot color numbers.  (we don’t guarantee an exact color match)
     
  8) Maximum file size:
    Please call the contact person for e-mail ads over 10 megs. Please Compress all e-mail files. (Expander  • Zip • StuffIt)
     
  9) Deadlines:
    Deadlines for digital files are the same as the paper deadline.
     
  10) Confirm e-mail receipt of electronic transmission:
    Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11am to 9pm. Please request an electronic receipt.
     
  11) Fax:
    For proofing and font matching please send a fax of your digital ad file to your sales representative.
