Dusty came a long way to find a home. Originally from the Arabian Peninsula, Dusty is a male wadi dog from Oman who is about 10 months old with a playful personality. He is an intelligent, happy dog who does tend to be shy at first, but he responds well to affection and, of course, food. He is still sensitive to new people and moving objects such as bicycles and trash trucks, and he needs proper social training.

Dusty does have guarding issues over food and other goodies, so he will only be suitable for adults. He may get along with other pets, but he will need an appointment to meet another dog first. Experienced dog owners are a must for Dusty.

Dusty is neutered and current on his vaccinations. Adopted animals from the Humane Society of Ocean City receive an alumni card that entitles them to a lifetime discount for veterinary services there.

The Humane Society is a no-kill shelter. To see Dusty or for more information about an animal for adoption, call 609-398-9500, visit hsocnj.org or stop in any day between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 1 Shelter Road, off Tennessee Avenue.
