Meeting set on asphalt plant proposed for Tilton Road in Galloway

Matt Olive • via shorenewstoday.com

“Take it from someone that has sat on a town council for 10 years. As residents of Galloway you should welcome a commercial ratable that will do nothing but benefit the township. Housing does not help your taxes commercial properties do. This project should have residents support.”

 Steve M Greenwood • via shorenewstoday.com

“It's great to hear new ventures getting started in this distressed dying casino area ... we need as many new jobs as possible in Atlantic County. Not to mention new tax ratables for Galloway and Atlantic County. What does it matter who the owner of the property is or is not related to? You don't get to choose who you are related to. You should only be concerned with his tract record of success in being new business to our dying economy.”

“… I have a daughter in that school too, I think as well all parents needed to be informed. It just gets me upset by only thinking how many times my child walked next to this kid while having this weapon on him.”

Nicole Carroll Cherico • via shorenewstoday.com

“SERIOUSLY!! My daughter is in 5th grade in that school and this is the first that I'm hearing about this!! I am highly disappointed that I was not informed last week!!! And I'm sure after this article gets around YOU WILL GET LOTS of complaints from non involved parents!! The only reason you haven't gotten any yet is because, just like myself, no one knew about it until now!!!”

Hijab cultural event hits a nerve in Northfield

Art Haberland • via shorenewstoday.com

“Fear of the unknown is a good evolutionary tactic. Learning about the unknown and growing from it is even better. Hats (Hajibs?) off to these ladies for not being afraid to explain themselves and their culture to people who lack the understanding to appreciate it.”

Eddie Thompson • via shorenewstoday.com

“Cultural diversity expands our horizons and opens our minds to new experiences. Nothing to be afraid about.”
