ABSECON — Residents will decide who will occupy three City Council seats in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Republican 1st Ward Councilman James Vizthum is seeking re-election against challenger Betty Howell, a Democrat.

Republican Councilman-at-large Mike Ring is being challenged by Democrat Steve Light.

Incumbent Democratic 2nd Ward Councilwoman Kim Horton is being challenged by Republican Edward Vincent.

In the June 6 primary, Vizthum defeated Absecon Board of Education member Chris Cottrell, 196-29.

Ring ran unopposed and captured 380 votes.

Horton ran unopposed and received 162 votes. Vincent, who also ran unopposed, received 156 votes.

At the Absecon Board of Education, Thomas J. Grites and Eric Neal are running unopposed for two, three-year seats.

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ward 1, District 2: Municipal Complex, 500 Mill Road

Ward 1, District 3: Municipal Complex, 500 Mill Road

Ward 2, District 1: Presbyterian Church, 208 New Jersey Ave.

Ward 2, District 2: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave.

Ward 2, District 3: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave.
