Dana Pavitt of Hill's Science Diet and Dr. Rachael Scotland of Absecon Veterinary Hospital have donated more than 680 pounds of cat food to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch, so families that use the facility may also feed their cats.

ABSECON — Hill’s Science Diet and Pet Pantry and Absecon Veterinary Hospital have donated 680 pounds of cat food to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch’s Pet Pantry.

More than 3,500 families and their pets have benefited from the food bank since 2015, according to a release.

Pet food donations are accepted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the food bank, 675 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township. They may also be dropped off at Absecon Veterinary Hospital, 195 S. New Road, Absecon, and the Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 Brigantine Ave, Brigantine.
