Employees of Sturdy Savings Bank raised $7,000 this year that was donated recently to the Citizens/Veterans Advisory Council.
Officials with the Cape May Court House-based bank said the employees’ donation will be used to help homeless veterans find permanent housing. CVAC is a team of veteran and citizen volunteers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families in Cape May County. They provide veterans who return from deployment or combat with immediate assistance, as well as guidance for long-term needs.
The donation was presented to the organization by Gerald L. Reeves, bank president and CEO; and Trina McSorley, senior vice president and director of human resources.
