In a unanimous vote Sept. 27, Freeholder Richard Dase was elected vice chairman of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, replacing Freeholder Will Pauls, who moved out of Atlantic County.

"I want to thank Will for his support and solid leadership on the board,"Dase said.

"I am looking forward to serving as vice chairman as we continue to rally support against North Jersey casinos, seeing through our economic development plan from Angelou Economics to diversify our employment opportunities, and continuing to fight for Atlantic County taxpayers to make sure the other 22 towns don't pay for Atlantic City's mess as the state tries to figure out what to do with Atlantic City" he said.

Dase, a Republican, is seeking re-election against Democrat challenger Steve Stokes.
