The following closures and delays have been announced due to the winter storm that's passing through the region today (Thursday, Feb. 9):
NJ Transit says its rail service is subject to 15-minute delays system-wide, both ways, due to weather conditions. System-wide cross-honoring is also in effect.
New Jersey state government offices are closed for all non-essential employees. Essential employees should report to work on their regular schedule.
The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge center closed. The Visitor Information Center, 800 Great Creek Road, is closed. It will reopen Friday, Feb. 10.
Folsom School is closed.
Galloway Township Athletic Association late baseball signups planned for 6 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Feb. 9) at the cabin at Gabriel Field on Zurich Avenue have been moved to 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Galloway Township Public Schools cancelled evening activities due to inclement weather. All after school activities have been cancelled for Galloway Township Middle School, Reeds Road “Night of Code” has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 and Roland Rogers Sports Night has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16.
Hammonton schools are closed.
St. Joseph High School in Hammonton is closed.
Superior Court in Atlantic County is closed, according to the Atlantic County Bar Association.
Weymouth Township schools are closed.
The YALE School has closed its campuses at Cedar Creek, Mullica Township and Northfield.
Cape May County
Cape May County Fare Free Transportation has suspended regular service to the Camden/Philadelphia area.
Cape May County government offices will be open.
The Cape May County Library advises patrons to call their local branch for program cancellations due to the weather. The majority of flights at Philadelphia International Airport are canceled this morning. Check with your carrier for flight status.
Stockton University says it's monitoring the inclement weather, but that its Galloway campus, and instructional sites in Atlantic City, Woodbine, Hammonton and Manahawkin are open.
