CAPE MAY – The Duffy String Band struts into Cape May Convention Hall Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Performance highlights will include music, the “Mummers Strut,” and the Mummers costumes and props. Members of the audience will be invited to show their skills, according to organizers.

Founded in 1945 by the late George Duffy, the band has performed in the Philadelphia Mummers Parade every year for the last 66 years. In 2003, the band was named the Official String Band of North Wildwood
