CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Department of Health will host an American Red Cross blood drive Monday, Nov. 26.
The community blood drive will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 12 Moore Road in the Crest Haven Complex in Cape May Court House.
“The American Red Cross continues its vital work of helping people devastated by natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy,” reads an announcement from the county communications office. “As a result, blood supplies are alarmingly low. Every minute of every day someone needs blood and that blood can only come from a volunteer donor – a person like you who makes the choice to donate.”
Twice a year the county holds a blood drive for employees, their families and friends and encourages members of the public to donate blood as well. County employees donate on average 120 pints each year.
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred. Call Judy Startare at 609-465-1206 for information or to schedule an appointment or see cmchealth.net.
