MAYS LANDING -- The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala’s 30th anniversary event will feature original dishes from more than 50 of the region’s best restaurants at the March 14 event, including several Cape May County favorites: Mama Mia’s Ristorante & Catering in Ocean View, The Ebbitt Room in Cape May, Washington Inn in Cape May and Yacht Club of Stone Harbor.
The Ocean City Pops orchestra preforms during the cocktail reception, which features thousands of hors d’oeuvres prepared by Academy of Culinary Arts students. The Pops have entertained Restaurant Gala guests since 2009, and the Ocean City community for more than a century.
With the theme “Celebrate the 30 kNights,” the 2013 Gala will feature Camelot-inspired decor at the event at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. A dessert reception, co-organized by master pastry chef Eugen Ess of Trump Taj Mahal and ACA alumna Chef Deborah Pellegrino ’92, executive pastry chef at Caesars Entertainment, will complete the event.
The Gala has raised nearly $3 million since 1984 for scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations. Tickets to the Gala are $225 per person.
