Special event at The Reeds

STONE HARBOR – The Reeds at Shelter Haven, a new luxury boutique hotel in Stone Harbor’s shopping district, celebrated its progress in construction with a ceremonial topping off event on Nov. 29.
There is now a metal and concrete structure where its predecessor, the Shelter Haven Hotel, stood nearly 100 years ago. The hotel is slated to open in summer 2013.
“We celebrated the tremendous progress toward our summer 2013 opening and thank all of those who are making this dream come true,” said Ron Gorodesky, The Reeds’ managing director.
The Reeds at Shelter Haven is a 37-room boutique hotel resort with waterfront views and a clean, contemporary décor splashed with coastal style, according to the owners. The Reeds will offer overnight getaways; dining; multifunctional venues including an indoor restaurant/lounge; patio/deck and outdoor dining area; flexible corporate meeting areas; and indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings and events.
