Woodbine holiday parade set Dec. 20

WOODBINE – The public is invited to celebrate the holidays at Woodbine’s annual parade at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, sponsored by the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company.

Lineup for the parade begins at 5 p.m. on Bryant Street east of Washington Avenue.

The parade route will take participants from Bryant south on Washington to Clay Street, east on Clay to Heilprin Avenue, and north on Heilprin to DeHirsch Avenue to the firehouse.

'The Nutcracker' at Middle Township PAC

Rehearsal before a performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, Sunday, Nov. 23 Rehearsal before a performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, Sunday, Nov. 23 The New Jersey Ballet Company holds an informal rehearsal of the first act of “The Nutcracker” before their performance Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Middle Township Performing Arts Center.  This was the 21st year of the performance at the PAC.  Allison Ivan, 17, plays Clara who receives a nutcracker from Drosselmeyer, her godfather and toymaker.  The Andrew Notarile plays Drosselmeyer’s newphew as well as the nutcracker prince.  Together the prince and Clara with the help of toy soldiers battle the mice led by the Mouse King.

St. Casimir’s annual Christmas bazaar begins Nov. 21

WOODBINE – The public is invited to an annual three-day fundraising bazaar at St. Casimir Lower Church, 304 Clay St., Woodbine.

Bazaar dates are: Friday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday Nov. 23, 8 a.m. to noon.

Baked goods, handmade crafts and other items will be available. Raffle tickets are $1.

All you can eat at Rio Grande Fire House

RIO GRANDE - The public is invited to an all you can eat breakfast from 8 a.m.-noon, Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Rio Grande Fire House, 1120 Route 47.

The buffet includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, potatoes, creamed chipped beef, doughnuts, toast, coffee, tea and juice.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for kids.
