The inaugural Spring Shorebird and Horseshoe Crab Festival takes place Friday through Sunday, May 17-19 at The Wetlands Institute and locations throughout the cape.

The Wetlands Institute will celebrate an amazing spectacle of nature – the confluence of the spring migration of shorebirds and the horseshoe crab spawning season – at the inaugural Spring Shorebird and Horseshoe Crab Festival Friday through Sunday, May 17-19.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — The South Jersey Triathlon Club is holding a 5K run on Saturday, May 18, at the Cape May County Park to raise money for a club website.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Middle Township Planner Elizabeth Terenik, Middle Township Committeeman Tim Donohue and Economic Development chairwoman Carol Struett will speak at the Rotary Club of Mid Jersey Cape on Tuesday, April 30.

The meeting will focus on economic development and will start at 12:15 p.m. at the Wildwood Golf and Country Club, at 1170 Golf Club Road in the township.

Fashion show May 22

The Avalon Garden Club will be present its annual fashion show and luncheon "Fashions by the Sea" on Wednesday, May 22 at the Windrift Hotel.  Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the fashion show at 1:30 p.m.  Fashions on display are by Bellanova from Stone Harbor.  Tickets are $30. Art shows planned for PAC

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — The multi-purpose Performing Arts Center of Middle Township hosts four art shows over the next three months, featuring the work of more than 300 area residents.

Kay Aspell, managing director of the PAC, has announced that the exhibits in the lobby will continue until mid-June and will include the works of a wide range of artists from children to senior citizens. Admission is free and the exhibits will be open weekdays and on nights there are performances at the PAC.
