Annual golf event benefits Borek fund

The ninth annual Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund Golf Tournament is set Friday, May 2, at the Stone Harbor Golf Club, 905 Route 9 in Cape May Court House Route 9, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund.

Quartet to perform in Stone Harbor church

  STONE HARBOR – The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Saviour at 9212 Third Ave. will feature Pamela Whitman and her Quartet in The Universal Experience 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6.

The Universal Experience features Whitman, a flutist, leading her Playmates Quartet, which includes pianist Scott J. Breiner, Rich Kurtz on bass and Jason Koenig on drums and percussion performing music in a variety of genres.

World Series of Birding returns in May

CAPE MAY – More than 100 teams are expected to come to New Jersey and Cape May on May 10 for the 31st annual World Series of Birding, hosted by the New Jersey Audubon.

Teams have up to 24 hours to count as many bird species as they can identify by sight or sound within the state of New Jersey. Each species seen or heard counts as one.

RIO GRANDE - Sunday Night at the Movies at The Branches, next to St. Mary's Thrift Shop, behind Family Dollar on Route 47 at N. 2nd Street and E. Vermont Avenue, Rio Grande, will show "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" 7 p.m. March 16.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Library invites those 13 to 20 to Game Night for Teens held from 3- 5:30 p.m. each Thursday in February.

The programs will take place at the main branch of the library at 30 West Mechanic St. in Cape May Court House.  

Play the latest in console gaming: Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. Other games will be available, including Apples to Apples, Munchkin, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering!

No registration is required.
