A Middle Township husband and wife have been charged in connection with residential burglaries in Middle, Lower and Upper townships.

Middle Township Police say that on Nov. 6, Christopher Lamonica, 38, and his wife, Torri, 28, both of Edgewood, admitted their involvement in burglarizing two homes in Middle Township, two in Lower Township and one in Upper Township.

Christopher Lamonica was placed in the Cape May County jail on charges of burglary and theft in lieu of $15,000 cash. Torri Lamonica was released on her own recognizance on charges of receiving stolen property and selling stolen property.

Over the past several months, Middle Township Police say they have investigated many reported daytime residential burglaries, and that they learned jewelry and silver coins were taken from the homes.

Involved in the joint investigation were the Middle Township Police Department, Lower Township Police Department and State Police from the Woodbine barracks.
