Himebaugh disappearance marks 21 years

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP – It’s been 21 years since 11-year-old Mark Himebaugh disappeared from the Del Haven section of Middle Township.
Investigators continue to look for information from the Himebaugh family, friends, neighbors, and the public.
Himebaugh had gone to explore a small fire in his neighborhood and never returned to his Del Haven home Nov. 25, 1991. Authorizes found his sneaker on the beach.
In January, an anonymous donor offered $10,000 for credible information about Himebaugh’s disappearance and $25,000 for his safe return to his family.
The Middle Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office are hoping the reward money will encourage someone to come forward with information that would bring the case to a close.
Tips can be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 465-2800 or by text message at TIP-411. In the subject heading, type CMCSO, to indicate it is for the county sheriff.
