Police: Man tried to lure two boys into vehicle

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP – Police are looking for a man who tried to lure two boys into his truck in Whitesboro and Mayville during the past 24 hours.
On Tuesday morning in Whitesboro, a juvenile was walking to his school bus stop when he was approached and asked if he needed a ride from a man in a truck, according to police.
In Mayville, another juvenile was on his way to school when he was approached by a man who attempted to lure him, police say.
The man is described as white or a light skinned black man, 40 to 50 years old, gray hair, unshaven, with a gap in his teeth, wearing a jean jacket or vest, blue jeans and black shoes.
The vehicle is described as Chevrolet or Ford full-size pick up truck that is tan or gold.
In both incidents, the man was described to have similar characteristics. Police did not list the ages of the juveniles in a news release.
