DENNIS TOWNSHIP – Two teens were airlifted and three others received minor injuries after an accident Tuesday night on the Garden State Parkway in Dennis Township.

Brittany Robertson, 17, of Cape May Court House, was driving a 2006 Ford Escape south when she lost control of the vehicle on the wet road.

The vehicle spun and overturned, landing on its roof, according to Lt. Stephen Jones of the state police. The accident took place at about 8:48 p.m., according to police.

Two passengers, Dylan Rhile, 17, of Cape May Court House, and Lauren Anderson, 15, of Dennis Township, were airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center of Atlantic City. Both were listed in stable condition, according to Jones.

The others were treated at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House and released, Jones said. Jones did not have information on the condition of the other passengers.

Jones said alcohol was not involved in the one-vehicle accident.

According to some sources, the students were on their way home from a basketball game at Hammonton High School.

The Bass River Station responded to the Feb. 19 incident; state police are continuing their investigation.

No charges have been filed, but Jones said he expects some citations to be issued.
