A man is in jail in Pennsylvania over a sexual assault in Stone Harbor in September, according to authorities.

Charles Boone was arrested in Montgomery County, Pa., Thursday, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Stone Harbor Police Chief Paul Reynolds. He’s faces charges of sexual assault and burglary.

According to police, a Stone Harbor resident reported that on Sept. 29, a man she didn’t know entered her residence and sexually assaulted her while she was in bed. The man fled after she woke up, according to police. The Special Victims Unit of the prosecutor’s office and Stone Harbor Police launched an investigation, which they say led them to Boone.

As of Thursday, he was in Montgomery County Jail in Pennsylvania, charged as a fugitive pending extradition to New Jersey, after which he’ll be charged with burglary and aggravated sexual contact, according to local authorities. If convicted, each count could mean five years in state prison, according to the prosecutor’s office.
