MIDDLE TOWNSHIP – Upgrading wireless internet at Middle Township School District is costing nearly $200,000.

The work will allow more students to access the internet at a given time, which will help when standardized testing is administrated on the computer, Superintendent Michael Kopakowski said in an earlier interview.

On Feb. 21, the Board of Education approved withdrawing $195,220 from the maintenance reserve account to upgrade the wireless internet at the two elementary schools, middle school, high school and the administrative building.

RFP Solutions Inc. of Woodbury was contracted for the project at an earlier Board of Education meeting. Kopakowski said he hopes the wireless internet will be completed in the next two months.

Kopakowski could not be reached for comment Monday for more information.
