Woman snoozes on Stone Harbor sofa, earns criminal trespass charge

STONE HARBOR – A borough resident woke to a surprise at 7 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, when he found a woman sleeping on his sofa, Stone Harbor Police said in a recent statement.

Kaitlin Simmer, 34, Quakertown, Pa., was charged with criminal trespass by police after a resident at the 100 block of 90th Street turned Simmer’s purse over to officials, saying that she had left it at his home after a brief interaction.

Simmer was charged with the fourth degree crime after she turned up at the police station to retrieve her purse, police said.

According to police, the matter is pending review by the county Prosecutor’s Office.
