CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Country music star Taylor Swift visited Cape May County last week.

Residents say they spotted her at several businesses, including Capt. Scrap's Attic Antiques & Collectibles in Upper Township and Uncle Bill's Pancake House in Avalon.

Taylor, 22, began making a name for herself in the music business in 2006. Much of her music is original, according to a website biography.

She has received Academy of Country Music's "Female Vocalist of the Year" Award, the American Music Awards "Favorite Female Country Artist" award, and the American Music Association's "Horizon" award.

A Wyomissing, Pa., native, Swift’s family had a home in Stone Harbor.
