The Animal Welfare Society’s pet of the week is Sandy. She is a favorite of shelter volunteers who admire her calm and loving attitude.

Eddy is a German shepherd that was brought to the shelter after his owners had to move and were unable to find housing that allows dogs. Eddy is gentle and affectionate, is about 3 years old and is neutered. This is the second time he has been at the shelter. Because of an unstable home life, Eddy gets a little nervous around strangers and anyone carrying bats or sticks. It is recommended Eddy find a home with young adults, and he does not get along with other dogs and cats. Eddy’s adoption fee is $95, which includes micro-chipping, and all his vaccinations brought up-to-date.
