CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cat adoption fees have been reduced for February at the Cape May County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.

The promotion is part of the center’s Feline Frenzy February. The shelter has more than 200 cats.

Through Sunday, Feb. 19, people can adopt a cat for $14. In honor of George Washington’s birthday, the adoption cost will be $22 Feb. 20-28. On Feb. 29, to celebrate leap year, cats under a year old can be adopted for $29.

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, cat carrier, a Hartz Kitty Caster toy, PetSmart coupons worth $160 and a free veterinarian visit.

Cape May County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is in the Crest Haven Complex at 110 Shelter Road in Cape May Court House.

The facility is open seven days a week for adoptions from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Also, cats from the shelter are available for adoption at the PetSmart store in Rio Grande.
