BRIGANTINE-The Federal Emergency Management Agency deadline for filing proof of loss documentation for Standard Flood Insurance Policy claims is Wednesday, Oct. 29. The date reflects a number of extensions that ultimately give policyholders up to 24 months from the date of loss, which may vary case by case depending upon when Sandy made landfall, but for the south Jersey area is almost invariably Oct. 29, as the storm passed over the area two years ago on that date.

For details see the FEMA bulletin on their National Flood Insurance Policy information site, http://bsa.nfipstat.fema.gov/wyobull/2014/w-14017.pdf.
