The “New Jersey Stronger Than The Storm” campaign is attempting a world record attempt at the longest ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the summer season.

North Point accepting donations for tornado victims

North Point Marina will be a drop-off location for donations for the victims of the tragedy in Oklahoma. The drop-off ends on Monday, May 27.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center will celebrate Dolphin Day beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8 with guided tours of the rescue and rehabilitation facility along with educational demonstrations and arts and crafts activities.

Fourth Ward meeting set for May 25

The Fourth Ward Residents Association will hold their monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at the Brigantine Community Center. An update will be given on developments in the city and there will be a special presentation by Fire Chief Jim Holl called ‘Meet the Chief.’
Mothers' tea is kids' treat

The Community Presbyterian Church hosted a Mother's Day Tea Party on Sunday. More than 60 women of the church were served herbal tea with scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts by the Pathways Sunday School children. The children prepared the event by making personalized place mats, name tags and an assortment of decorative tea sandwiches.
Mass to be celebrated on the beach

St. Thomas is marking the conclusion of its religious education program for the year by celebrating Mass on the beach at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 19 at the 17th Street Pavilion. CCD students, their parents and teachers may all attend.
