John Frugoli Jr., a student at St. Augustine Prep, recently completed his “Caritas” – a community project required by all students at St. Augustine. “Caritas” is a Latin word that means love for all people. His project is called “Healing with Harmony.”
Members of the Brigantine Senior Center enjoyed Frugoli’s talent as he entertained them with his violin one afternoon recently. Selections included “Time to Say Goodbye,” “My Heart Will Go On”, “Colors of the Wind” and “You Raise Me Up,” among others.
“I have chosen to offer my talent as a violinist to my local church, senior center, homebound and hospital in order to make a difference in a person’s life,” Frugoli said. “It is my hope that with the charity of music therapy I will be able to improve the lives of persons with physical, intellectual or emotional difficulties. … I feel that by reaching out with love and concern and to embrace those who may be suffering I will be able to positively affect the lives of people in this world.”
