Members and volunteers at the Community Presbyterian Church in Brigantine have worked for days accepting and sorting goods for people in need after Hurricane Sandy.
Nonperishable food is available at the church for people in need due to the storm.
Bottled water and baby items including diapers, wipes, formula and food were sent to the Civic Center so that all physical needs are at one location. There, dozens of other volunteers worked to sort and display clothing, bedding, home supplies and pet food. All of these items are free to those who have lost so much in the storm.
Donations of nonperishable food, cleaning supplies and trash bags are still urgently needed.
For those who wish to help, monetary donations are being accepted by True Spirit Coalition, which has the common goal of helping families and individuals in need.
Money or checks to help those after hurricane Sandy can be sent to True Spirit Coalition at Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Brigantine Ave., Brigantine, NJ 08203.
