The Brigantine Beach Community Center (BBCC) is still accepting donations of goods needed for families on the island who lost their homes or suffered flooding.
Items needed are brooms, towels, shovels, first aid kits, space heaters, napkins, paper plates and cups, Kleenex, heavy trash bags, cat food, and most importantly, new socks and underwear for boys and girls. Gift cards are great, as they can be given to families that have specific needs.
Volunteers to assist and sort are still needed, particularly for early morning and late night.
The BBCC will be open the following hours:
9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17
9 a.m.-noon Sunday, Nov. 18
9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 19-21
9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23 and 24
9 a.m.-noon Sunday, Nov. 25
The Community Presbyterian Church is asking for cold cereal, oatmeal, juices, tuna fish, canned vegetables, condiments, peanut butter, jelly or jam, bread, and any type of fresh fruit or vegetables.
Volunteers are needed at this location as well. The church is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
